Holiday 2021: Ransomware Defense
Friday, December 3rd, 2:00pm – 5:00pm MDT (GMT-6)
Advanced Registration is Recommended
Ransomware is overly simple. I mean that literally… inject payload, encrypt files, ???, profit! On the other hand humans are smart and we can also be big troublemakers for businesses. So what happens when you cross a punk and ransomware? An ever-ongoing threat landscape… Human-Operated Ransomware.
Human-operated ransomware is a large and growing attack trend that represents a threat to organizations in every industry, and is different from commodity ransomware. These “hands-on-keyboard” attacks target an organization rather than a single device and leverage human attackers’ knowledge of common system and security misconfigurations to infiltrate the organization, navigate the enterprise network, and adapt to the environment and its weaknesses as they go.
