Intro to Desired State Configuration
As part of the Windows Management Framework 4 Microsoft has provided a new framework for managing the configuration of Windows Servers and Clients. Desired State Configuration, or DSC, is that new Framework. This talk provides a brief overview of what DSC is, how it works, why you should use it, and how you can get started. DSC is heavily integrated with Windows PowerShell, this talk assumes a base level of Knowledge with Windows PowerShell. You must be comfortable using the PowerShell Console and running Cmdlets to get the full benefit of this talk.
