Greetings,

I have to take a computerized test using a PC. Sadly, I use a Mac, and the Mac and PC keyboards, while somewhat comparable, are not at all identical in the bottom row with any of the 4 Persian/Farsi and even the Afghani Dari keyboards. IWould anyone possible know if there could perhaps exist a Persian keyboard with a PC layout available for a mac? Some other language keyboards are available that have a PC layout; Turkish keyboards come first to my mind. This way I could start practicing on the identical layout, and I'll hopefully thereby pass my placement test!

Khayli mamnunam!

If you use your Mac 'Persian ISIRI' keyboard layout, which is the IRI standard, you shouldn't have any problem.
Salam Behnam, Actually the ISIRI and PC keyboards are not totally identical. پ, چ, and ئ are in different locations- the last is where the pe is located on the ISIRI keyboard. Not sure why, but that's the case.

In that case it is best to get used to ISIRI layout, both for PC and Mac. I personally am not so much fond of it. But what I use is a custom made, totally different from any other. But if your intention is to get used to a standard layout, this is it. ISIRI is the current standard in Iran. It was supposed to be the default layout on Windows 7 I believe. But if it is not, google it and you can find it.
