Hello,

We are a busy studio with around 20 operators and we are increasingly picking up different language work including Arabic. We are using Illustrator CS3 ME on the mac with Neo Office as the bridge. The client supplies us with multi language Word documents and PDF’s with copy set in Arial Unicode where possible.

But.... we are experiencing problems including reflow, line breaks etc. etc.

Is there a definitive workflow for handling Arabic copy correctly?
I really like to know if there is any definitive workflow for Arabic!
But for one thing, font technology for Arabic is different on the Mac. It needs AAT not OT, although Leopard is now handling OT as well.
But you might want to try one of these fonts containing both AAT and OT. It should help the workflow substantially.
